Once Again I’ll Walk The Streets Of London!

Once Again I’ll Walk The Streets Of London!
In just 50 days I’m going to London! I really, really hope the weather changes and that it’s going to be a week of sunny days. I have been there once before in october 2009 for 5 days, and I am really looking forward just to meet the squirrels once again (the danish squirrels suck big time!)

I really want to go to the big fleamarked (as I have a thing for fleamarkets) at Brick Lane where there is sold antiques, clothes and all sort of other weird things.
The Royal Botanic Gardens beside the river Thames filled with plants from all over the world is supposed to be FANTASTIC! And also just the parks all over town are... indescribable... Once I’ve read about this garden of a roof top in London, but sadly I can’t seem to find it again...
Last time I was there we had an amazing time, but the days went way to fast...

And we of course has to go to Portobello road market!

P.s the first sunday in feb. I'm going to Copenhagen to buy either the Nimb glass or the Focus De Luxe cutlery!

Copenhagen, When It's Best...

Copenhagen, When It’s Best...
Now... I was looking at my blog and noticed that I’ve mostly talked about what I have found at the internet... Which is sad because I really enjoy going to in the real world looking and especial to Copenhagen. Well I did when the train tickets was affordable! Now a days it’s very rare it get there because of my busy day, my work talking my weekends and such things...
But aaanyways... The best shops, according to me, would be "Illumsbolighus” where I dream of all of the stuff for my place...
                                                          ... like...

       Focus De Luxe

Another, more artsy, shop is called “Stilleben”...

Last time is was in Copenhagen I actually bougth a sushi plate and a salat cutlery in nice dark clean almond wood at “Stilleben”. Both very simple and with class...

One of the reason I liked “Stilleben” so much was ´cause they have a lot of Ditte Fisher whom I’ve mentioned earlier and ´cause of these spoons that looked like... twigs or leaves or something of nature...
Which i actually bought some years ago...
So this was my 2 of favorite stores in Copenhagen, in which I'm buying myself till poverty

The Low Life

The Low Life
Untill recently I’ve had my bed directly on the floor, but my collection of stuff for “moving-away-from-home” got to big and I had to get them in boxes (7 going on the 8th) under my bed... But onces I get to use all of this stuff and get them out from under my bed, the bed is going low again!
Loads of room in a little places is a win! Wgite walls, a worn out wooden floor and gladly HUGE windows!
   Something like this...

Warmth and cosiness...
                            ...With lightning like these

Dinner At 10 P.m

Dinner At 10 P.m
Time spend: 35mins (plus marinating time of at least 30mins)
Serves 4 – 6 as side or appetizer
You need
300g (10 oz) firm tofu
20g (0.7 oz) shiitake mushrooms
1 tbs hoisin sauce
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp fresh ginger root, diced finely
2 cloves of garlic, diced finely
1 cup shredded Chinese cabbage
20 wonton or gow gee wrappers
Vegetable oil for frying
Dipping Sauce found here
or here
Drain the tofu on absorbent paper; then in a large bowl mash with a potato masher until the tofu resembles a mince like consistency.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine; place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to enrich the flavours (can be left overnight).
Place a single wrapper on a work surface; spoon a heaped teaspoon of filling onto one half of the wrapper; wet the edges with a little water and then fold over the wrapper to encase the filling. Pinch the sides to close and set aside.
Repeat with the remaining filling.
Bring about ½ – 1 cup of water to the boil in a deep fry pan, reduce heat and simmer.
In a large fry pan heat a little oil over a high heat; when hot reduce heat and add the Momo’s.
When the Momo’s have browned slightly; remove from the fry pan and add to the simmering water. Steam for 4 – 5 minutes, adding more water if necessary.
Alternatively Momo’s dumplings can be steamed without frying for a lighter version. (I like that better)
Serve with dipping sauce, soy sauce or Japanese mayonnaise!!
They should look something like these...

It makes me miss Nepal so much...

I found it because I was surfing the net to find some nice looking feathers (more on that later on) and now I’m looking at 7-9 pieces of jewellery with feathers...

Mini Gardens? I Think So

Mini Gardens? I Think So
I don’t know why I found these little... Sort of garden/terraiums/excuses-for-not-beeing-accused-to-have-non-green-fingers... I was looking at my favorite page, in class yes, to find these strange, expensive, indescribable little green thing... And now hold on tight! With TINY animal in them... When I was a kid Me and my bedst friend, Phillip, used to fantasize of these tiny living animals in forms of lions, bears, even dragons (We liked Harry Potter and magic okay).

They are to be found here... Please do not buy them all... I’ll buy them when I get rich!
P.s I’m still dreaming of one day have a lion the size of big beetle...

snow and ice is gone so no iglo’s and no iceskating... And yet the sun hasn’t arrived...
I miss summer!

                                                  ...And I miss my phone

P.s my flower just died today, so much for that New Years resolution...

Light Installations!

Light Installations!
I love the raw light from the glow bulb! Light in different heights, different sizes, but then no more different... Unsimple, and yet simple... The unfinished with the raw wall and the rough tables of cement blocks, the “just” mirror and the unseen chains with just a pole for your clothing... I wish I could live like that... Just for some days of my life...
My style is really a mess, but I’ll make it come together somehow...
And last but not least...
See these...

Don’t think of it as lamps... Think of is as an art installation... A room lit up room just by these nets of lightning... Stones?
Only allowed to go trough it in groups of 4 or 5...
Well I would take the wait...
                                     ...Now look again...
